Hobbledown were revamping their on-site restaurant and wanted a new identity that they could take outside of Hobbledown and expand in to other family attractions. They also wanted to create a restaurant that offered more than chicken nuggets and chips, often found at competitor family attractions, to inspire children to try different foods and flavours. Inspired by street food markets from around the world they created an exciting and varied menu with dishes including Katsu curry, Moroccan meatballs and Greek wraps.
The new identity for Hobnosh needed to reflect this street food inspired menu rather than the bold and brash identities often associated with children’s fast food. The branding needed to be edgy, modern and able to easily sit alongside food brands that you might find at street food markets in central London.
JWJ Design created branding that used the iconic hat of Huck from the Hobbledown stories, along with bold typography, blackboard textures and hand drawn graphics.
The new branding was applied across all areas of the restaurant, from wall menus to table talkers and posters.
